A 39-year-old Papa John’s pizza delivery man was delivering pizza in the 4900 block of East Morris at around 8:15 p.m. Saturday when a robbery attempt was made.
When the delivery man arrived at the house, an 18- to 22-year-old man invited him in. It was a vacant property, said Wichita police Sgt. Brian Sigman.
The man demanded money from the delivery man, “or else he would shoot him,” Sigman said.
“The victim did not relinquish the pizzas or money,” he said.

The victim’s father lived in the area, Sigman said, and he ran to his house, yelling for help.
The suspect then ran off in an unknown direction, Sigman said.
