Three armed robberies reported in one day in Wichita

The Wichita Police Department responded to three armed robberies in about 14 hours, Officer Charley Davidson said during Monday’s briefing. Now the department is asking the public for any additional information regarding the crimes.

First robbery

In the first armed robbery on Monday, police were called to the Circle K in the 2000 block of South Oliver at about 9:40 a.m., Davidson said. An employee reported that a man entered the store, pointed a handgun at her and demanded money.

Money was given to the robber before he ran away, police said.

The robber was described to police as a white man in his 20s, about 5-feet-7-inches tall and about 150 pounds. He was wearing dark pants, a light tan hoodie with a black hood and black sleeves, a red bandanna covering his face and red tennis shoes.

Second robbery

About 12 hours later, police were called to Taco Alex in the 700 block of West 25th St. North, Davidson said. An employee said two robbers came in and demanded money. One of the robbers was armed with a handgun.

Money was given to the robbers and they they ran away, Davidson said.

The first robber was described as a man in a gray jacket. The other was wearing a black jacket.

Third robbery

At about 11:40 p.m., police were called to another armed robbery. This one was at Tacos Raymundo in the 1700 block of West 21st St.

An employee said a man entered the restaurant, pointed a handgun and demanded money, Davidson said.

Money was given, and the robber fled on foot.

The robber was described as a man in a blue hoodie.
