Authorities are looking for two suspects linked to a shooting near Clearwater late Thursday that left a teenage boy in critical condition.
The 17-year-old called 911 at about 10:30 p.m. to report that someone had broken into his house in the 11100 block of West 95th Street South, Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Lt. Lin Dehning said in a statement. That’s about a mile northeast of Clearwater.
The teen reported that he confronted two intruders and during the course of the struggle, he was shot in the abdomen. The boy was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis in critical condition.
Dehning would not discuss other details related to the incident, saying he could not talk about possible evidence.
