Two Kansas men charged with distributing child porn

Two Kansas men were charged Wednesday in federal court with possessing and distributing child porn.

The cases are separate and were investigated by the FBI, according to a release from the U.S. District Court of Kansas.

Brian Fuchs, a 48-year-old man from Lawrence, was charged with distributing and possessing child pornography. Fuchs is suspected of using peer-to-peer sharing to distribute child pornography with other users, according to the indictment.

Fuchs faces not fewer than five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 if convicted of distribution and as many as 10 years and a fine up to $250,000 if convicted of possession.

Duane Allen, a 54-year-old man from Leavenworth, was also charged with possessing and distributing child pornography. If convicted, he faces the same sentencing as Fuchs.
