Two Kansas men were charged Wednesday in federal court with possessing and distributing child porn.
The cases are separate and were investigated by the FBI, according to a release from the U.S. District Court of Kansas.
Brian Fuchs, a 48-year-old man from Lawrence, was charged with distributing and possessing child pornography. Fuchs is suspected of using peer-to-peer sharing to distribute child pornography with other users, according to the indictment.
Fuchs faces not fewer than five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 if convicted of distribution and as many as 10 years and a fine up to $250,000 if convicted of possession.

Duane Allen, a 54-year-old man from Leavenworth, was also charged with possessing and distributing child pornography. If convicted, he faces the same sentencing as Fuchs.
