Two people were injured in a shooting at an east Wichita bar early Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call at The Lion's Den in the 6300 block of E. Harry at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Officer Paul Cruz said. They found multiple shell casings and were then called to Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph, where they found two gunshot victims. A 25-year-old man had multiple gunshot wounds and was in critical but stable condition. A 23-year-old woman had non-life threatening injuries from a single gunshot wound to her leg.

The man was standing near the front door of the club and the woman was standing in line when they were shot, police said.

The building previously housed The Annex Lounge, a popular restaurant that closed earlier this year.

Officers have not yet identified a suspect. Limited information has slowed the investigation, Cruz said. He asked that anyone with information call detectives at 316-268-4407 or CrimeStoppers at 316-267-2111.
