Three people were shot and killed early Saturday in separate incidents, according to Wichita police.

The first shooting took place at a south Wichita residence in the 2200 block of south Main, near Mt. Vernon. Police say a 24-year-old man was shot twice when his cousin was showing him a firearm and fired it. The man was at a local hospital when police arrived around 12:30 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say a man has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Police responded to a second shooting around 2 a.m. at a residence in the 1500 block of south Water, near Harry and Broadway. Police say they found a 29-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds inside a car parked along the street. Police say an SUV drove up to the man and fired multiple shots. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Police responded to a third shooting around 2 a.m. at an apartment in the 800 block of west 26th Street, near Pawnee and McLean. Police say a 23-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on site. Police say the shooting arose from a disturbance between the man, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend's brother. Police say the woman's brother, a 34-year-old man, shot the 23-year-old man once and fled. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Police say none of the shootings were random incidents. Police did not provide the identity of any of the shooting victims.
