Wichitan draws 2 years for counterfeiting currency
A Wichita man was sentenced Monday to two years in federal prison for counterfeiting currency worth $3,390, U.S. Attorney Barry Grisson said in a news release
Billy J. Antrobus, 25, had pleaded guilty to one count of manufacturing counterfeit currency in June after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors, according to a court document.
The counterfeit list of currency included five $100 bills, four $50 bills 27 $20 bills and four sheets of uncut $20 bills. The value of the uncut bills was listed at $2,150 on the document.
A computer and printer were used for the counterfeiting, the document said.
Antrobus has two co-defendants: Harvey D. Salisbury, who also has been sentenced to two years in prison; and Dustelia D. Watts, who is set for sentencing Oct. 6.
