Twitter reported his photos. Now this Wichita man will spend 5 years in prison
A Wichita man was sentenced to 5 years in prison after Twitter reported his photos.
Joshua A. Haskins, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography and one count of using the internet to target a 12-year-old child for sexual exploitation, U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said in a release.
Haskins admitted in his plea that he posted child pornography on his Twitter account, the release said. Twitter reported the images to CyberTipline.
The release said Haskins also uploaded a picture from the Instagram account of a 12-year-old girl to a Russia-based photo-sharing website.
"He included the girl's name and her electronic email address, urging other users to 'talk her into nudes' and 'send me pics if u do,'" the release said.
