Police: Wichita man arrested, suspected of abusing twin daughters
A 31-year-old man has been arrested, suspected of sexually abusing his twin 5-year-old daughters, police said.
A kindergarten teacher at a USD 259 school overheard comments from one of the girls in class, Lt. James Espinoza said. The teacher contacted police, who interviewed the girl.
Over the course of the investigation, the girl’s twin sister also told police about abuse, Espinoza said. Their father was questioned and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail at 11:30 p.m. Monday.
The girls have been placed in protective custody by police. Their 26-year-old mother was questioned but not arrested, Espinoza said.
