Nearly $40,000 worth of goods stolen from rural Sedgwick County home
Nearly $40,000 worth of guitars, guns and other items were taken from a rural Sedgwick County home sometime between 2 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.
An unknown person forced his or her way into the house, 14500 W. 55th St. South, and stole a projector, a Remington revolver, a Henry rifle, cash and jewelry as well as a Gibson-brand guitar and a Fender-brand guitar, the agency said Wednesday in a news release.
A coin collection and a safe also were taken. The loss is valued at $39,101.
The theft remained under investigation Wednesday.
