Second arrest made in home robbery where intruders stole cancer medication, valuables worth more than $100,000

A second person has been arrested in connection with a home robbery in March near Central and Hillside during which four suspects tied up the resident and stole property and cancer medication worth more than $100,000, police said.

The robbery occurred at about 9 p.m. on March 24 in the 200 block of North Green, police have said. The 67-year-old resident was bound to a chair and threatened while the suspects took watches, computers, golf clubs, a television and medication, according to a police document.

Draven Collier, 18, was arrested Tuesday morning on South Meridian and is being held on $50,000 bond. He was booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery.

Edward S. Huckabey, 21, was arrested two days after the robbery and booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. His bond was also set at $50,000, but he was not in the Sedgwick County Jail’s inmate population on Thursday.

Huckabey’s preliminary hearing in the case has been set for July 6 in Sedgwick County District Court.

Two 18-year-old men are still being sought in the case, Lt. James Espinoza said Thursday.

“We have identified them,” Espinoza said.
