Police: Burger King on East Pawnee robbed by current, former employees
Two men with faces familiar to the employees robbed a Burger King restaurant early Monday morning, police said.
There’s a reason the robbers looked familiar: one was a current employee of the store and the other was a former employee, Lt. James Espinoza said.
They entered the Burger King at 1909 E. Pawnee through a back door shortly before 4 a.m. Monday and demanded money from the register, Espinoza said. They then left, but employees told officers one of the robbers was a 17-year-old boy who worked there. The other was a 26-year-old former employee.
Officers found and arrested the younger suspect a short time later, Espinoza said. They’re still looking for the second suspect.
