Robber gets away with cash and cigarettes from Wichita gas station

A man who robbed a northeast Wichita gas station early Wednesday morning got away with money and cigarettes, police said.

The man walked into a Circle K gas station near North Rock Road and K-96 at around 1:35 a.m., Officer Charley Davidson said. He pulled out a plastic grocery bag and demanded money from a 21-year-old man working at the gas station.

The robber ran with money and cigarettes. No weapon was seen or indicated during the robbery, Davidson said.

Police described a suspect as a 5-foot-6 man in his 20s of thin build wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black coat, tan work boots and an orange ski mask.

Police ask anyone with information on the case to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
