Kansas man sentenced to federal prison for selling smuggled meth
A Kansas City, Kansas man was sentenced to 15 years of prison after he admitted to selling 6,000 to 10,000 grams of methamphetamine per week.
Luis Enrique Martinez-Rosales, 25, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute meth and one count possession with intent to distribute.
He received the meth in loads smuggled from Mexico to the U.S. in semis, according to a release from U.S. Attorney Tom Beall. The man admitted that the Kansas Highway Patrol found 2,000 grams of meth and almost $50,000 in cash when he was stopped on I-70 in Wyandotte County.
