Six people were arrested and more than 30 citations were issued during a seat belt saturation patrol Wednesday night, authorities said.

Four Sedgwick County sheriff’s reserve deputies conducted the patrol from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Lt. Lin Dehning said in a prepared statement.

Four of the arrests were for felony warrants and two were on outstanding misdemeanor warrants, he said. The deputies conducted 24 traffic stops, resulting in 19 adult seat belt citations, nine driver’s license violations, and one each of a child safety restraint violation, a tag violation, an insurance violation, a lane change violation and a turn signal violation.

Five warnings were also issued. Assistance was also given to a motorist who struck an animal, Dehning said.
