Death on Thanksgiving not being investigated as homicide
Wichita police say the death of a 26-year-old man on Thanksgiving is likely accidental.
A passerby noticed an unconscious man lying in a yard in the 2400 block of East Murdock at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday and called 911.
Police and EMS tried to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead at 8:12 a.m., Sgt Ed Brower said.
Police were initially investigating his death as suspicious, but said Monday that they’re not looking at it as a homicide and are waiting for some tests to return before confirming a cause of death, Wichita police Lt. Todd Ojile said.
