Police arrest teenager minutes after armed robbery
Wichita police arrested an 18-year-old shortly after he allegedly robbed a Dollar General, police said Thursday.
Officers were sent to the store in the 2400 block of South Broadway at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday. A 23-year-old employee told officers the suspect went into the store, indicated he had a gun and demanded money, Officer Charley Davidson said.
He was given cash and took off in a white Cadillac.
Arriving officers found the car in the 400 block of West Blake, about half a mile west of the store, and arrested the 18-year-old on suspicion of aggravated robbery of a commercial business.
No one was injured.
