Arrest made in El Dorado shooting
A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a shooting in El Dorado late Sunday night, authorities said.
The arrest occurred Monday following an intensive investigation in the wake of the shooting shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of North Taylor, El Dorado Police Chief Curt Zieman said in a prepared statement. The victim drove himself to a local hospital for treatment, and he was later transferred to a Wichita hospital for treatment of an injury not considered life-threatening.
Police were looking for three suspects in the shooting and eventually located them, Zieman said. Following interviews, one adult and one juvenile were released. The second juvenile was booked into a juvenile detention center.
The shooting was the result of an ongoing argument, Zieman said.
