Crash near downtown causes power outage
Westar Energy crews are near Waterman and Pattie streets, just south of Douglas, working to restore power after a car crashed into a utility pole early Friday.
Police said the car had been involved in a chase prior to the crash, according to media reports. Two people were taken to the hospital after the crash.
Westar’s outage map shows the outage was first reported at 3:54 a.m.
