Search under way for suspect in convenience store robbery

Wichita police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store in southwest Wichita Friday morning.

A clerk at the Fast Trip Gas and Grocery said a man walked into the store at 2796 S. Seneca and threatened her, Officer Charley Davidson said in a prepared statement. He then took money and lottery tickets, as well as the 42-year-old employee’s purse.

He fled the store on foot, leaving the clerk uninjured. He is a white male who is about 5-feet-3 and was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

Anyone with additional information about the incident is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
