Man, woman linked to storage unit burglaries in south Wichita
A man and woman arrested in connection with a west Wichita burglary last week have been linked to burglaries on the south side of town last month, authorities said Friday.
Officers detected a burglary in progress at 5 a.m. on June 7 in the 2900 block of West 13th and arrested a man and woman, Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Lt. Lin Dehning said in a prepared statement.
Subsequent investigation indicated the 33-year-old man and 32-year-old woman “were likely involved” in the theft of more than $15,000 worth of property from storage units in the 6000 block of South Oliver on May 24 and 25.
Charles J. Davis, Jr., 33, and Michelle L. Estep, 32, have been booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of seven counts of burglarly, Dehning said.
