Fredonia man found dead in his house; son arrested
A Fredonia man was found dead in his house Thursday morning, and authorities have arrested his son in what is being called a homicide.
Fredonia police officers checking on the welfare of Eddie Cohee, 50, found him dead at his house at about 9:30 a.m., according to a statement released by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Fredonia police asked the KBI to assist the investigation.
An autopsy is planned, though authorities think Cohee died as a result of blunt force trauma. Sean Cohee, 25, of Fredonia was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail late Thursday morning on suspicion of first-degree murder.
