Finance company employee robbed by armed man
An employee opening up Air Capital Finance on South Seneca for business Friday morning was robbed by an armed gunman, police said.
The robbery occurred at about 7 a.m. at the business at 1920 S. Seneca, just north of Pawnee, authorities said.
The woman was “making her way into the business when an unknown male approached, armed with a handgun,” Lt. James Espinoza said.
The man forced her into the business and demanded several things, Espinoza said. But he ultimately left with only a small amount of money from the employee.
Law enforcement officers are looking for a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years of age, Espinoza said. He is about 5-foot-8 with a medium build who was wearing dark pants and a blue flannel shirt or jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt.
He was armed with a black handgun and left the area on foot. The employee was not hurt.
Espinoza said the robbery serves as a reminder to “be aware of your surroundings, especially at that time of the morning.”
