Man with Wichita ties sought in Lyon County burglary

Authorities are searching for a burglary suspect with ties to Wichita.

Jeremiah Mckenzie, 31, is a person of interest in a burglary at a barn in Lyon County, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on its Facebook page. Mckenzie was involved in a pursuit with sheriff’s deputies and the Kansas Highway Patrol on May 26.

A Polaris Ranger was stolen from a barn in the 1700 block of Road G in Lyon County, the sheriff’s office said. Mckenzie is 6 feet tall and weighs 165 pounds.

Along with connections in Wichita, he has ties to southeast Kansas, where he is also wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information about his location is being asked to contact local law enforcement, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at 620-341-3205 or Lyon County Crime Stoppers at 620-342-2273.
