Man with gun robs KFC in south Wichita

A man with a gun robbed a south Wichita fast-food restaurant late Wednesday, according to police.

Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said an employee of the KFC at 2347 S. Seneca – located at Seneca and Pawnee – was confronted by an armed man outside the restaurant just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

The man, Woodrow said, entered the restaurant with the employee and demanded money. He left with nearly $160 in cash, along with some other unlisted items, from the employee and the business, according to a police report.
