West Wichita restaurant robbed late Sunday, police say

A west Wichita restaurant was robbed at gunpoint late Sunday night, according to a release from the Wichita Police Department.

Officer Paul Cruz said in an e-mail that an employee at Tacos Lopez in the 700 block of North West Street, near Central, told police a man entered the business with a handgun and demanded cash at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday night.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken by the suspect, who was described as being 6-feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
