Anthony man, 34, sentenced for multiple child sex crimes

A Harper County judge on Thursday imposed a more than six-year prison sentence on a 34-year-old man for multiple child sex crimes.

Jason Eric Salsberry of Anthony received the 80-month term on two counts of aggravated indecent liberties, one count of criminal sodomy, one count of indecent liberties, two counts of indecent solicitation of a child and one count of sexual exploitation of a child, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said in a news release.

Judge Larry T. Solomon also ordered Salsberry to be supervised for life after he is released from prison. The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to the crimes in June.

Schmidt said the offenses occurred in 2013 in Harper County and were investigated by the Anthony Police Department. His office did not disclose the age or gender of the child or children involved in the case in the news release. A spokeswoman for his office did not immediately return phone and e-mail inquiries from The Eagle seeking that information.
