Cowley County sheriff seeking jail escapee
Shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday, a 30-year-old man escaped from the Cowley County Jail.
The Cowley County sheriff in Winfield issued a release saying officers are looking for Joshua B. Blackwill, who was last seen in the area of Eighth and Loomis in Winfield.
He was wearing a tan jumpsuit with “Porter” written on the back.
People are advised that if they do see him, don’t approach him but call 911 immediately.
