Baxter Springs man sentenced to 8 years in prison for making meth

A 44-year-old Baxter Springs man was sentenced Monday to eight years in prison for manufacturing methamphetamine in 2013.

Jimmy Lee Riddle was ordered to serve 96 months, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said in a news release. He was convicted of the crime in January.

Cherokee County District Judge Oliver Ken Lynch imposed the sentence, Schmidt said. Riddle’s charge was the culmination of investigations by Baxter Springs police, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
