Red-clad robber holds up Subway
Wearing vivid clothing probably isn’t the best way to blend in with a crowd on a Saturday morning — especially if you’ve just pulled off a robbery.
A man dressed in red robbed the Subway in the 300 block of East Pawnee at about 9 a.m. Saturday, then took off running to the south, Sgt. Roger Runft said.
“In broad daylight, all dressed in red, he was easy to see,” Runft said. “They watched him as long as they could.”
They eventually lost sight of him, though, and a search of the parking lot, the Wal-Mart and the apartments southeast of Wal-Mart did not prove successful, Runft said. Investigators will review security video for additional identifying details, he said.
