Shooting reported in south Wichita

Police are investigating a shooting in south Wichita that occurred Wednesday night.

The shooting was reported at 7:41 p.m. at Hillside and 31st Street South, a Sedgwick County emergency communications supervisor said. The woman who was shot was taken to a hospital with a wound not considered to be life-threatening.

More details are expected to be released on Thursday.
