800-pound wok stolen from outside Bamboo Express on North Broadway
Someone stole a wok Tuesday afternoon in midtown Wichita, and it wasn’t one you can put on top of a stove.
It weighs an estimated 800 pounds.
The wok was taken from behind the Bamboo Express restaurant at 929 N. Broadway, Lt. James Espinoza said. The theft was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The large wok was placed outside when a new wok was brought into the restaurant, according to a police document, but it was not for sale or donation.
The wok “would have taken several people to move,” the document stated.
