Burglars steal motorized toys worth $7,200 from HobbyTown
Two burglars broke into the HobbyTown on East Kellogg early Wednesday morning and stole several motorized toys, police said.
The burglary was reported at 4:40 a.m. in the 8100 block of East Kellogg, Lt. James Espinoza said. Officers responding to the alarm at the business east of Rock Road found that the front door had been damaged in the break-in.
Security video showed two suspects forcing their way inside and stealing about 12 radio-controlled vehicles totaling about $7,200, Espinoza said. Individual toys ranged in value from $240 to $760.
“It’s very early in the investigation,” Espinoza said.
Police would like anyone with information related to the burglary to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
