Man hospitalized with stab wounds, girlfriend arrested
A man is hospitalized and his girlfriend arrested after an argument led to a stabbing in south Wichita early Sunday afternoon, police said.
The couple got into an argument at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of South Oliver, Wichita police Lt. James Espinoza said. That’s just south of Pawnee.
During the argument, the 26-year-old woman stabbed her 27-year-old boyfriend twice in the back with a pair of scissors, according to a police document. He was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Joseph, then transferred to the St. Francis campus after doctors discovered the attack caused a lung to collapse.
The woman was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail, Espinoza said.
