Robbers break into residence, threaten man with hammer and gun

Wichita police are investigating a residential robbery at 739 N. Sheridan.

The robbery happened at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

A 46-year-old man told police two men in their 30s entered his residence through an unlocked front door. One carried a handgun; the other, a hammer. The two men tied the man up by his ankles and with his hands behind his back. They took some of his property as well as a 2011 Ford Escape with a Royals tag on front and a dent on the door, according to Sgt. Ed Brower, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

No injures were reported, Brower said.
