Police arrest man after brief car chase
A brief car chase started at about 3:10 a.m. Saturday as an police officer pursued a man driving a vehicle that had been stolen Friday, Wichita police say.
The chase started near Piatt and Shadybook, and the driver jumped from the vehicle. The officer stopped his car and was able to pursue the suspect and take the man into custody.
The suspect was later booked for theft of the vehicle, said Sgt. John Hoofer.
There were no injuries or reports of damage from the chase. The vehicle was returned to its owner.
