Man robbed in Taco Bell parking lot

A man was robbed Saturday evening outside a Taco Bell in west Wichita, according to Wichita police.

A 19-year-old man told police that he was robbed after two men approached him outside a Taco Bell restaurant in the 300 block of South West Street. The incident happened at about 6 p.m. on Saturday.

One of the suspects asked to use the victim’s phone. The victim said one of the suspects then brandished a handgun and demanded his phone and wallet. The victim was not harmed.

Sgt. Joe Kennedy of the Wichita Police Department said the two suspects – both young men – left in a silver car driven by a woman.
