Police arrest man after robbing e-cig store
Wichita police officers arrested a man after a robbery at an electronic cigarette shop Thursday night.
Officer Charley Davidson said officers were dispatched to an armed robbery call in the 4100 block of East Harry at about 10 p.m., near Hillside.
A 25-year-old male employee of the Lucky’s Vape Spot said a man entered the store with a silver handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes.
Through the investigation, officers went to a house in the 3100 block of East Wilma within that hour and arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated robbery. The stolen property was recovered by police.
“This was a great example of excellent police work done by our patrol officers in investigating this violent crime,” Davidson said.
