Police searching for at least two men linked to robbery, Haysville abduction
Authorities are still looking for at least two men linked to the abduction of a woman in Haysville and the robbery of a Golden Corral on East Kellogg early Monday morning.
The abduction was reported at 2:42 a.m. in the 1200 block of Leonard in Haysville, officials have said. That’s just east of Meridian and north of 79th Street South.
A woman at the house told officers at least two men entered the house and demanded money, Haysville Police Chief Jeff Whitfield said in a statement. The women complied. One of the suspects then demanded that the woman take them to her place of employment so they could get more money.
She was forced to drive to the Golden Corral at 11006 E. Kellogg, where the men took more than $11,000 in cash, according to a police report on the business robbery. The woman was left at the business, and the suspects took off in her 2014 blue Honda Pilot with the Kansas license plate number of 036 GMR.
Anyone who has seen the vehicle is being asked to call Haysville police at 316-529-5912. Anyone who lives in the area where the abduction occurred is also being asked to contact authorities if they saw any suspicious vehicles in the area early Monday morning.
The woman who called 911 reported two men wearing black masks were involved in the robbery and abduction, according to a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher.
