Pair arrested in fatal shooting over drug deal are charged with murder
Two men arrested in the killing of a 45-year-old man during a drug deal at a south Wichita mobile home park were charged Tuesday with murder.
Keeshaun W. Milo, 27, and James A.R. Welborn, 23, are facing one count of first-degree felony murder each, according to Sedgwick County District Court records. They are next due in court Dec. 20.
The pair are accused of fatally shooting Michael T. Hamilton late Friday inside his home in the 3800 block of South Meridian. Police have said the three men got into an argument during a drug transaction. Milo pulled a gun and fired, striking Hamilton twice, Lt. Jeff Gilmore said Monday.
Hamilton’s killing is the city’s 31st homicide this year.
