Police looking for man who pulled gun on shopping center guard

Dave Williams/The Wichita Eagle

Wichita police are looking for a man who pulled a gun on a security guard working at Parklane Shopping Center late Wednesday night.

Officer Charley Davidson said the 28-year-old guard was trying to find out why a black SUV with chrome trim was parked in the center’s lot, near Lincoln and Oliver, at 11:30 p.m. when the man got out of it with a gun.

The man pointed the firearm at the guard and then got back into the SUV and drove south on Oliver, Davidson said.

Anyone who has information about the assault is asked to call Wichita police detectives at 316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
