Suspect turns himself in after Dodge City police ask for help

A man wanted by Dodge City police in connection with a number of sex crimes turned himself in Wednesday, according to a department Facebook post.

Humberto Martinez-Ornelas, 33, turned himself without incident Wednesday night, police said in a Facebook alert posted at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Dodge City police had asked for the public’s help in locating Martinez-Ornelas, who was wanted on suspicion of a series of crimes, including rape, criminal sodomy, intimidation of a witness or victim, domestic battery and aggravated assault.

A arrest warrant for Martinez-Ornelas was issued on Wednesday, according to a post by the Dodge City Police Department.
