Police: Man visits neighbor, ends up being stabbed

A Wichita man was transported to the hospital in critical condition after being stabbed by his neighbor shortly after midnight Saturday, police said.

A woman called and said a male roommate left their apartment in the 2000 block of West McCormick to visit a neighbor next door, police said. That’s near Kellogg and Meridian.

Soon after the neighbor appeared and told the woman that he had stabbed her roommate, according to police.

She called police, who arrived and found the roommate with stab wounds to his chest, side and left shoulder.

Police arrested the neighbor on charges of aggravated battery.

The investigation on exactly what happened and why is ongoing.
