Man armed with shotgun robs convenience store on West 13th Street

A man armed with a shotgun robbed a convenience store Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The man walked into the store in the 1800 block of West 13th Street shortly before 6:15 a.m. and demanded money, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said. The clerk complied and put the money in a black laundry bag the robber brought with him. The suspect then left.

The clerk told police the robber is a white male about 25 years of age. He is 6 feet tall and has a thin build. He wore a black do-rag or stocking cap, black clothing and blue jeans.
