Man gets prison time for Wichita bank robbery
A Florida man has been ordered to serve 46 months in federal prison for robbing a local bank branch last year.
Prosecutors say Antonio Adam Smiley, 30, stole cash from the Emprise Bank at 2323 S. Hydraulic on Nov. 18, then fled to Zephyrhills, Fla., where he lives. Authorities identified him using surveillance photos and captured him five days later.
Smiley pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery, acting U.S. Attorney Tom Beall said. He was sentenced on Wednesday.
