Wichita woman victim of carjacking Monday morning
A man with a gun carjacked a minivan on a Wichita street early Monday, police said.
The man, armed with a black handgun, confronted a woman at her home in the 100 block of South Sedgwick, near Douglas and Meridian, as she was leaving for work, said Wichita police Officer Charley Davidson.
The gunman demanded the woman’s keys, which she gave him.
He drove off in her 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, heading east on Maple.
The vanjacker was decribed as a white man in his mid-20s, 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
Police are looking for the minivan, which is light blue with the license plate, 931-JCS. Anyone who spots the vehicle, should call Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
