No fries, no Whopper, no cash
A gunman robbed the Burger King on North Broadway in Wichita on Sunday and stole the cash drawer, Wichita police reported Monday.
But the robber didn’t get a dollar for his efforts because the cash drawer he stole was empty.
Wichita police Officer Charley Davidson said the gunman, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a black mask, threatened the clerk with a handgun and then leapt the counter to grab the cash drawer.
He fled the business in a black four-door car.
The robbery occurred at about 9 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Broadway.
