Wichita man in custody following domestic disturbance

A 44-year-old man was taken into custody by Wichita police on Sunday following a domestic disturbance call.

Wichita police were called to a home in the 1300 block of North Williamsburg shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Sgt. Joe Kennedy, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

A 31-year-old woman told police her 44-year-old boyfriend punched her in the face, causing a laceration. She was transported by EMS to a local hospital, where she received medical attention.

The man was arrested on suspicion of one count of aggravated battery.
