Pratt man convicted of attempted murder in assault on police officers
A Pratt County jury has convicted a 46-year-old man of trying to kill a police officer in January, according to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt’s Office.
Bradley Grant Verstraete will be sentenced Nov. 14 in Pratt County District Court for attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer. He was tried in connection with an attack on Pratt Police Department officer Kenneth Wright and Sgt. James Ferbert.
Jurors found Verstraete guilty on Monday. He is a Pratt resident.
