Baby girl in hospital with broken arms; man arrested
A Wichita man was arrested on Tuesday after a mother brought her 1-year-old daughter to Wesley Medical Center with two broken arms and a fractured skull, Wichita police said.
The mother, 19, brought the child to the hospital at about 2 a.m. on Tuesday, said Wichita police Officer Charley Davidson. Police were called because the child had visible bruises.
An examination at Wesley revealed the broken bones, Davidson said.
The man, 20, was the mother’s boyfriend, Davidson said. The two lived in a home in the 300 block of North Green, Davidson said
The man was booked into the Sedgwick County jail on suspicion of aggravated battery and child abuse, Davidson said.
